The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (Bureau) has released the Request for Proposal (RFP) with selection criteria and filing instructions for the position of Relocation Payment Clearinghouse (Clearinghouse) in the C-band transition. The Clearinghouse is intended to be a neutral, independent entity to oversee cost-related aspects of the transition including collecting relocation payments from new licensees from Auction 107 and disbursing them to C-band incumbents. The Bureau’s public notice outlines criteria for selection of the Clearinghouse and announces an RFP submission deadline of June 29, 2020.
