The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) has issued an Order concluding its Alternative Connect America Cost Model (A-CAM) challenge process as to the broadband coverage data to be incorporated into the final version of the model for purposes of rate-of-return carriers electing model-based. After receiving comments containing hundreds of data change requests, the Bureau granted 80 requests, denied 73, and declined to act on 124 as administratively infeasible or unnecessary. The Bureau soon will release a public notice announcing offer amounts and deployment obligations that would trigger a 90-day election deadline.
