The FCC has announced that the sixth Broadband Data Collection filling window will open on January 2, 2025. The FCC requires facilities-based providers of broadband service and mobile voice service as well as all providers of fixed voice service to submit data specifying the provider’s coverage area and subscription base as of December 31, 2024. Filers must use the December 2024 update of the Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric to submit the data. The updated version of the Fabric will be made available to existing Fabric licensees prior to January 2, 2025.
Providers that have not yet accessed the Fabric may follow the instructions at the BDC Help Center. Additional information about the requirements for filers may be found at the BDC webpage. All availability and subscription data must be submitted no later than March 3, 2025.
