The Senate has passed, by unanimous consent, the Access to Capital Creates Economic Strength and Support Rural America Act (ACCESS Rural America Act) (S. 3242), which allows rural telecommunications service providers, with no more than $10 million in total assets, receiving USF support for rural or high-cost areas, to submit streamlined financial reports to the SEC, lessening the regulatory burden for such entities. The bill now awaits a vote in the House.
