The FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau has announced that it has added Kaspersky Lab, Inc’s cybersecurity and anti-virus software to the Covered List after a final determination was issued by the Department of Commerce that deemed such software poses an undue and unacceptable risk to U.S. national security.  Adding entities to the Covered List is based on the determination of certain agencies enumerated in the Secure Networks Act, including Team Telecom, Department of Commerce, and national security agencies.  The Covered List had previously included AO Kaspersky’s information security products, solutions, and services on the Covered List in March 2022.
