The FCC has announced the tentative agenda for its July 2019 Open Meeting, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. EDT. Open Meetings are streamed live at www.fcc.gov/live and can be followed on social media with #OpenMtgFCC.
The FCC Chairman, Ajit Pai, has announced that the following items will tentatively be on the agenda for the July Open Commission Meeting:
- Transforming the 2.5 GHz Band for 5G: Considering more efficient and effect use of 2.5 GHz spectrum by increasing flexibility for existing Educational Broadband Service licensees.
- Procedures for 5G Incentive Auction: Considering application and bidding procedures for Auction 103.
- Promoting Access to Connected Care Services: Considering proposing a Connected Care Pilot that provides Universal Service fund support to health care providers to defray costs of broadband service.
- Improving Competitive Broadband Access to Multiple Tenant Environments: Considering steps to promote facilities-based broadband deployment and competition in multiple tenant environments.
- Removing Unnecessary Regulation of Transport Services and Facilities: Considering granting price cap carriers relief from ex ante pricing regulation of their lower speed Time Division Multiplexing transport business data services nationwide.
- Modernizing Children’s Television Programming Rules: Considering providing broadcasters greater flexibility in meeting their children’s programming obligations.
- Electronic Delivery of Carriage Election Notices: Considering modernizing the carriage election notice provisions in Part 76 of the FCC’s Rules.
- Electronic Delivery of Notices to Broadcast Television Stations: Considering modernizing certain cable and satellite television provider notice provisions by requiring certain notices to be delivered to broadcasters by e-mail.
