The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau has announced that the National Lifeline Eligibility Verifier (National Verifier) will fully launch in five states, including Hawaii, Idaho, New Hampshire, North Dakota, and South Dakota, as well as the territory of Guam, starting on January 15, 2019. This full launch follows the National Verifier’s October 2018 soft launch in these states and territory. As of January 15, 2019, all Eligible Telecommunications Carriers (ETCs) in these states and territory will be required to use the National Verifier to make all Lifeline consumer eligibility determinations and must cease using legacy processes for such prospective Lifeline subscribers.
