The FCC’s Office of Managing Director has released a public notice announcing that the universal service fund (USF) contribution factor for the third quarter (Q3) of 2019 will be 24.4 percent, a new record. The previous quarterly high, in Q1 2019, was 20.0 percent while this current Q2 2019 quarter it dropped to 18.8 percent. Additionally, projected revenues for Q3 2019 are expected to drop nearly 7 percent, from $12.27 billion to $11.48 billion.
